Cut to length line, also known as a CTL line or a decoiler line, is a type of material handling equipment that is used to uncoil, level, and cut steel coils into custom-length pieces. These lines are used in a variety of industries, such as automotive manufacturing, appliance making, and construction. 

CTL lines typically consist of four main components: an uncoiler (or “decoiler”), a leveling device, a cutting system, and a coil recoiler. The uncoiler unwinds the coil of steel and feeds it through the leveling device, which flattens out any irregularities in the surface of the material. The cutting system then cuts the steel into pieces of the desired length. Finally, the coil recoiler winds up the cut lengths of steel for storage or transport.

Cut to length lines can be either manually operated or automated. Automated CTL lines are equipped with sensors and programmable controllers that automatically adjust the speed and tension of the line based on real-time feedback from the material. This allows for greater precision and efficiency than manual operation.
